Recreation photo

This is the a photo of me on the very first day of school on the left. On the right is a photo of me as a senior in high school. I love the simplicity of the photo and how cute I look with my backpack on in both photos!

Monochromatic

This is my photo that is filled with shades of brown. I love this photo because it is all pretty dark yet there is alot of the color brown that shows up. I love how this photo turned out and I believe it fits the monochromatic category perfectly.

Flight

Here is my photo of some dandelions in flight. I love how they are all dispersed in the air because it fills the photo. The photo turned out clear which is a plus as well!

Levitation photo

This is my photo of a floating Brooke Kulzer! I love how it turned out, I had photoshopped out the stool that she was laying on and managed to get it to look like this! I added the shadow underneath as well which made it look even more realistic!

Pos/neg drawing

I chose to do the outlining of a squirrel for my positive/ negative drawing. I love how It turned out because I chose a lot of paisley and flower designs. This really made me enjoy working on it every day even though it took a lot of time!

Scribble drawing

This is my scribble drawing of a cute koala bear sitting on a tree branch. I loved this project because it was fun to do and it didn't have to be perfect, yet it looks so great! I went all different ways with my scibbles and tried shading to the best of my ability, and I love the finished product!

Watercolor

This is my very colorful watercolor snake. For the snake, I blended warmer colors together to get a nice flow going. I then added cooler colors for the background so that you could tell it apart from the snake. I love the outcome of this project and really enjoyed working on it!

Leading lines

Here are some leading lines that take place in the ladders. This is a different way of creating the photo and I enjoy the end photo. I also love how there is more than one ladder to help complete the picture!

Light rays

This is my photo of light rays. I angled the camera in order to get a beautiful sun shining through the leafless trees. I think it turned out great because there are many rays shining through

Minimalism

This is such a simple photo of a pine cone laying in the grass, yet it still looks like a unique picture. I love the detail of the pine cone and I love how nice the photo turned out!

Faces in places

This is a photo of a face within a coat hook. I thought it was perfect because it has two eyes, a large nose, and even a mouth! I think it turned out great!!!

Map project

When I first looked at this map, I saw a parrot in it. I then made the parrot come alive by finding the lines of its body, then went with it. I used colored pencils and love how the colors pop on the bird. This project turned out great and I even used the canals for branches on the map.

King and queen challenge

I chose the red queen for my challenge. I decided not to do it like the Alice in Wonderland queen and made it my own way. The deep red really pops against the black paper and I love the outcome of it. The rose I think turned out wonderful as well!

Shadow

This is my shadow photo of the word cool made out of stereo wire. I thought it was a unique thing to do and I love the results of it.

Love photo

This is my photo displaying love of my boyfriend's parents. They have been together for 26 years now and this is the perfect photo for love. They let me take it and I love how it turned out

Clay stamp bowl

I love how this bowl turned out because the colors are both bold and vibrant. I used a tool to create the pattern and continuously stamped lines. The frog was stamped in the middle, and I think it looks great and very creative.

Winter

This Is my winter photo of an old wagon that is snow covered. I love how beautiful fresh fallen snow looks. I tried keeping the photo clear when I took it and I think it turned out great!

Forced Perspective

This is a photo of my boyfriend. He looks very small and the ball looks very big. This is a very cool photo and I love how it turned out!!!

Metaphor challenge

My metaphor was, Love is a battlefield, so I decided to first sketch out two people in love who are fighting and stabbing each other in the heart. I believe that the way I chose to portray the metaphor fits very well. I love the outcome because I then finished it by outlining it in India ink.

Framing

I thought this was a pretty unique framing picture. I framed my bird and cat with a glass elephant and love the outcome. The picture is full of suspense which makes it even better!!!

Ink/wash drawing

This is my drawing of a woman who is a mixture of previous ink drawings. I love how it turned out with the pop of green coloring. It was a pretty difficult project because of the colors bleeding but I do love the end result.

Large scale realistic drawing

This is my large scale colored pencil drawing of a wolf. I started it on January 3rd and it has taken me this long to finish. I absolutely love the outcome because the wolf is very detailed and turned out great!

Black and white

I thought this was a pretty sweet black and white photo. This is because the lights on the truck really pop and stand out on and under the truck. There is contrast which also makes it look so cool!

Reflection

This is a reflection photo of a fancy and very shiny pencil. I love how the placenta that it is sitting on can be seen in the pencil. I really love how it turned out because the pencil is so shiny!

Texture

This is my texture photo of a stand that looks so unique to me. The photo turned out great because of the different lines and patterns it has to create this cool texture!!!

Italian mosaic

This is my Italian mosaic and I love how it turned out! I love the variety of different colored tiles that I included in it. I even created a pattern, the top matches the bottom! The gold bar in the middle is also a very unique aspect of this project as well!

Watercolor silhouette

This is the silhouette of an elephant that had an Egyptian/ African theme in the middle. The middle scene is painted with watercolor and I even tried shading, yet it is difficult. I really love the end result!
